These brands use our checkout services to help you move forward with your order—where you review your purchase and enter your Personal Information—referred to as “Checkout Service”.

Before you enter your Personal Information, we want to be completely transparent about what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we access, use, disclose, store, and protect it. Therefore, we highly recommend that you read and understand this Privacy Policy before you proceed any further.

PURPOSE OF COLLECTING INFORMATION

We collect different types of Personal Information from you and use this information to operate and enhance our services. This includes:

Enabling seamless checkout experiences.

Enabling you to log in across multiple Merchants without repeated authentication and analyzing checkout behavior to improve conversion rates and payment success rates.

We will only collect Personal Information for legitimate business purposes. We’ll also perform other duties required or permitted by law, or with your consent.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you use our Checkout Services via a Merchant’s platform, we collect certain Personal Information to operate and improve those services. “Personal Information” refers to any information that can identify you directly or indirectly, this may include:

Phone Number
Residential address
Email address
Order history

Here is how the process works—when you’re redirected to our checkout platform through a Merchant’s website, we’ll first ask for your phone number to verify your identity via a One-Time Password (OTP). Once verified, you’ll be asked to provide your Personal Information to move forward with your order. If you’ve shopped with the same Merchant’s website before, we may pre-fill some of this information to speed up your checkout process.

We do not collect any payment information from you, and your disclosure of such information will be bound by the data collection/privacy policy of the relevant payment gateway.

Please note that you should also read or consult the privacy policy of the Merchant from whom you are making the purchase to understand how they may process and share your Personal Information.

COOKIES AND TRACKING

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to store your Personal Information. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help us recognize your preferences. You need not provide your Personal Information on your next online purchase as the cookies enable us to retrieve your Personal Information by default.

By using our Checkout Services on a Merchant’s platform, you consent to our use of cookies unless you choose to disable them. You can change your cookie preferences in your browser (for example, Chrome, Safari, or Internet Explorer) or your mobile device settings to limit the ways in which cookies may be used to collect and use information about you, however, disabling cookies may impact your checkout experience.

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

For order fulfillment, we disclose your relevant details with the Merchants. Additionally, we provide an enhanced authentication service that enables you to seamlessly access multiple Merchants without repeated login, through the use of cookies. For instance, on your next online purchase through another Merchant (to which Shopflo is also a service provider), the cookies will be used to access the Personal Information for an enhanced checkout experience.

We may disclose Personal Information with our affiliates, group companies, and employees, for the purpose of processing data on your behalf or on the behalf of Merchants. Such disclosure is strictly governed by our confidentiality obligations, data protection laws, and security measures to ensure that the information is handled in compliance with this Privacy Policy.

We may disclose your data, when it is requested or required by law or by any court or governmental agency or authority to disclose, for the purpose of verification of identity, or for the prevention, detection, investigation including cyber incidents, for prosecution and punishment of offences. These disclosures are made in good faith and belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary for enforcing the terms of this Privacy Policy, or for complying with the applicable laws and regulations.

DATA RETENTION

We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the legitimate business purposes as mentioned in this Privacy Policy, complying with applicable laws and regulations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. We will always ensure that the Personal Information is retained in a secure and responsible manner and disposed of appropriately when it is no longer required in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

DATA DOWNLOAD POLICY

Shopflo supports data downloads for reports and customer information generated within three (3) months of the current date only. Data older than three months is not available through the platform's export functionality. Merchants must maintain their own data archives by periodically downloading reports via the Downloads tab and may configure recurring daily or monthly downloads. Ad hoc requests for bulk historical data downloads exceeding three months, including annual exports, are not supported. This policy applies to all data types including order reports, discount reports, transaction reports, and customer data.

By accepting these terms, merchants acknowledge and agree to this Data Download Policy. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance. In the event of non-payment or violation of platform terms, Shopflo reserves the right to limit or suspend data access in accordance with applicable laws and contractual obligations.

WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT

You have the right to request access, review, deletion, or restriction of your Personal Information in accordance with applicable laws. If you want your Personal Information to be deleted or if you wish to withdraw your consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your Personal Information as outlined in this Privacy Policy, please write to us at contact@shopflo.com. We will process such requests as soon as possible, after which we will no longer process your Personal Information. Upon receiving a valid deletion request or when retention is no longer necessary, we will securely delete the data, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes. Please note that withdrawing consent may impact your ability to access or use some or all of our services.

We will process your request in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and may still retain some data as required for legitimate business purposes or as mandated by law.

SAFEGUARDING YOUR DATA

We understand the importance of protecting the privacy of your Personal Information. While we make every effort to safeguard the Personal Information we hold in our records, it’s important to note that no method of transmission or storage is secure. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information and regularly review and update our security practices to enhance the protection of your Personal Information.

We restrict access to your Personal Information to authorized personnel only, who are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

Despite our efforts to protect your Personal Information, it is important for you to take precautions to protect your Personal Information as well. MODIFICATIONS TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Our Privacy Policy is subject to change at any time, to comply with evolving laws and regulations. To make sure you are aware of any changes, please review this policy periodically. We will alert you to significant changes by posting the date our Privacy Policy was last updated, placing a notice on our platform, or by sending you an email when we are required to do so by applicable law. These changes will be effective immediately on you. Please note that at all times you are responsible for updating your Personal Information.

If you do not wish to permit changes in our use of your Personal Information, you must notify us promptly that you wish to deactivate your account with us. Continued use of our services through Merchant’s platform after any change/amendment to this Privacy Policy shall indicate your acknowledgement of such changes and agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions of such changes.

GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL

If you contact us to provide feedback, raise a complaint, or ask a question, we may collect and store any Personal Information and other details you provide to effectively respond to your inquiry. Any complaints or concerns regarding your Personal Information, the content of this Website, or any dispute related to confidentiality, proprietary rights, or intellectual property should be promptly reported to our Grievance Officer at the contact details provided below. The Grievance Officer shall redress the grievances within one (1) month from the date of receipt of grievance.
